Mobile scanner

Scan from your phone#

1. On your computer, click the QR code button (Upload from Mobile) next to Add Files (Open Files in the desktop app), or From your phone in the file picker.
2. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera and open the link.
3. Choose an upload method:
   • Camera - photograph each page. Edge detection finds the page and crops it for you. Use Retake or Add More as needed.
   • File Upload - pick existing photos on the phone.
4. Tap Upload. The files appear on your computer.

• Camera needs a secure (HTTPS) connection. If the phone says camera access requires HTTPS, use File Upload instead, or ask your admin to serve Stirling PDF over HTTPS.
• The QR code button is hidden when you open Stirling PDF on a phone. If you don't see it on a computer, the mobile scanner is turned off. On a self-hosted server an admin can turn it on (Mobile scanner settings).

In the desktop app#

• Your phone and computer must be on the same network (Wi-Fi).
• The phone page has no edge detection or auto-crop, so crop your photos before uploading.
• The phone page also accepts PDFs.
